Comfort Food: Home Country Cooking in NJ near Bucks County
To end our little virtual tour of Stockton NJ, I had to end on a high note. Meil's Restaurant is our favorite place to visit in Stockton. It is run by long time friends of ours, but is not the reason we are featuring it here. Meil's is about as good as comfort food gets anywhere in Bucks County, Pennsylvania or Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The place is filled with artwork by local artists, and filled with a spirit that will remind you of grandmas house.
Specialties of the house are homemade chili, potato pancakes, chicken pot pie, corn fritters, and homemade meatloaf, homemade soups and desserts. Meil's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.
Meil's is located in the center of Stockton at the intersection of Bridge and Main Streets. If you are planning a visit to the Prallsville Mills, New Hope, Rice's Market, or the Lambertville Flea Market, don't miss it, and tell them that Frenchtowner.com sent you. (Alternate spellings: Meals, Miels, Meils)
