The Prallsville Mill or Mills was fundamental to the founding of the small community of Stockton, New Jersey. As it is with many towns across our region, the history of the river and the mills that were built alongside it, is the beginning chapter of the history of our towns.
The Prallsville Mills began in the 1790's and have survived to become a historic and cultural center that hosts weddings, parties, art exhibitions and antique shows. Shown to the left is the charming stone building that lies close to River Road that is now an art gallery.
