This is one of my favorite cities in the U.S. (my favorite is the very nearby Washington, D.C.). I love wandering around the Old Town area of Alexandria and seeing the different colonial attractions, such as Gadsby's Tavern and the Carlyle House. It is also a fun area to be on President's Day with the festivities and parade celebrating George Washington's Birthday.
