Flying or Train

When traveling do you prefer traveling by train or by flying. It depends on where I go. If I am going with friends to San Francisco or somewhere where we can take a train, we will take Amtrak. Flying for me is hard, I hate planes I have to have a drink before I get on the plane. Flying is so expensive these days unless you go to one of those websites like Expedia and find a cheap flight and the way gas prices are today I don't dare drive anywhere far.

I enjoy flying myself, more time for the vacation once you get there.
I do have a dream though, we want to plan a trip where the trip on the train is the vacation and we see the sites as we travel along. I hope we get to do it soon.

I will have to say I would choose a train as I am scared to fly. I know it is safe people tell me that all the time, but i still am scared. I like the train because I could see the countryside.

It depends to the type of trip. If I'm on business trip, I prefer to ride an airplane. If I travel for fun, riding a train is cool because you can see the scenery of the place as well as different attractions.

I'd much rather take a train than fly. In fact, I'd rather take a bus, a boat, or a car than take a place.

I was never a fan of flying but the way things are now at airports I prefer to stay away from them.

Trains are a nice way to travel. I could easily take a train from New York to California and I think traveling time is aonly a few days.

My parents once took a bus from NY to CA. It took them seven days but they loved it. It gave them a chance to see the country.

I have never taken a train but have always wanted to! I hate flying, but do it anyway out of necessity.

I have riden on a train on several occasions..like a bus, of course, you
would NOT want to do it if in a hurry..There is a sense of adventure,.. and
NO other mode of travel will give you quite that feeling, if this is something
you wish to do. Even if the train is quite modern, you always feel as if you have stepped back in time. Try it sometime for a day trip or overnight!

Bring games & small snacks for the children or grans (if you are blessed to have young ones). Visit with other families, eat in the 'dining car" just make it a adventure. Now that I am much older, I want to try it now with just us two
'old ones'!

I actually quite enjoy flying. I have never taken a train anywhere, but I would love to try it once, esecially if I take a 2 week vacation somewhere. This June I am taking a bus trip fro the first time. That should be , ummmmmmm...interesting!

I have a terrible fear of flying, so I like to stick to trains.

We travelled by train to see my grandmother when I was young. There was nothing better than riding the Texas Zephyr and eating in the dining car!

I absolutely love to fly! My favorite part is the take off when the plane starts zooming down the runway and then lifts up off the ground. I even get a rush watching planes takeoff.

I like to take the train too ...not so much the bus. I would love to travel by boat, but never have ...hope to someday...
