I’ve decided to go learn French France and was wondering if anyone has any tips? I’m studying Spanish in Spain at the moment and have already found cheap Barcelona hostels so am prepared – would seem I can get to most of France easily and economically from here. So what I’d like to know is where to go…I have to give similar advice to my Spanish friends wanting a curso ingles – I always recommend places like Oxford over Dublin because the accent is clearer – is there a specific place in France where I would find it learning/comprehending easier? Paris maybe? I have heard the Parisian French accent is very clear but on the other hand, I imagine it to be a very cosmopolitan city and I don’t want to be able to easily meet English speakers – too easy to escape speaking French and cheat by using English all the time! I experienced this in a short language course I did in Granada – everyone around spoke English and it was difficult to practice new found language skills! All advice would be welcome – I’m there for 6 weeks and so long enough to take advantage of one of France’s great cities to the maximum!
