Hockey Game In Yankee Stadium?

A few months ago I heard the possibility mentioned of an outdoor NHL game played at Yankee Stadium this coming New Year's Day.

Last New Year's Day, a very successful outdoor hockey event was held in Buffalo, and apparently that caused the Yankee Stadium powers-that-be to reconsider the possibility.
I believe if it happens, it would be the last sports event in the venue.

There also was an outdoor NHL game in a football stadium in Edmonton a few years ago.

I heard many different rumors about this and they were going to have one. I do not know if it is still in the plans or not. It would be exciting to see though.

I don't know if that would ever happen. It would be cool (literally) - a NHL January night game on new years eve in the Bronx! Wo0oo Hoooo!

Hockey in the bronx now that would be a sight. Heck I might even have to come up to the Bronx from Ohio to catch that. Hope it won't be too cold. Lol!

Aren't the shapes of baseball stadiums inconvenient for hockey fans?

It seems that getting a good seat, and being able to see the action well, would be difficult
