Best Restaurants of Hunterdon County NJ . Matts Red Rooster in Flemington

Our second nomination for the Best of Hunterdon is Matts Red Rooster in Flemington.

Unlike Hamilton's Grill that we have been going to for what seems like a lifetime, we only found Matt's earlier this year and it is our new favorite restaurant in Hunterdon County. In terms of overall performance on all types of dishes, the Red Rooster is superior in our opinion.

Matt's may never be as popular as Hamilton's Grill, but that has a lot to do with the nature of the two towns that they're located in. Lambertville is an expensive and trendy art and antiques town and Flemington is still holding on to its reputation as a thrifty outlet center. (Note: Flemington is getting better and richer day by day as a great place to eat and find unique quality shops and boutiques)
