Default Best Ice Cream

What is the best ice cream you've ever tasted? What is the best ice cream parlor you've ever been to? What is your favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream? What is your favorite Big Name ice cream? [Hagen Daz, Ben & Jerry's, Godiva, .......]

I am only bringing this up because we just found a great ice cream place when we were on vacation.

I am not what you would call a huge ice cream fan, but I am partial to a little mint choc chip now and again.

Mmmm... Eggers Ice Cream parlor in Staten Island, NY. Everything is homemade. They have homemade candies as well, but the ice cream and whipped cream (also homemade) are incredible!

Default Haggen Das

Strawberry Haggen Das is my weakness. But get this...it has to be microwaved until it just starts to melt. I have eaten it like this for years. I think it is the best. My second is Black Walnut, also Haggen Das.

Default Island Creamery in Chincoteague Virginia

OK, now that you guys have put your Two Cents in, I can tell you about the place we found on vacation. It is called The Island Creamery in Chincoteague, Virginia. It is probably the best place to eat in this tiny island town and all they serve is their own homemade ice cream, shakes and fudge. Once the sun goes down during the summer, the crowds congregate and cue up. The ice cream selection is endless. It is one extremely popular place. Don't miss it, if you go anywhere near that part of the country.

Baskin Robbins use to have Pumpkin Ice Cream which was one of my favorites. I do not know if they make it anymore as they are not in my city no longer.

Oh this sounds yummy! I wonder if that can be accomplished with home made ice cream by either adding pumpkin pie filling to vanilla ice cream, before you ware done making it of course, or would it be better to just add pumpkin pie seasoning?

The best ice cream was the buble gum Ice cream I had as a child in St. Charles at an ice cream parlor that is no longer there. Some of my best memories of summer are the days my family spent at the river playing, mini golfing and then getting ice cream.

I have not had bubble gum ice cream since I was about eleven but I totally remember the smell, can almost taste it now

Thanks for the memories
