As I was reading everyone's ideas about traveling and eating out, I thought about it and realized that I never gained much when on eating vacations -- even when I made a tour of some great eateries with people from the area as guides to the best foods.
I think it's because I really enjoyed my foods and didn't waste a mouthful in unthinking eating. I'd have a small breakfast when I knew that lunch was going to be a fun affair or if we had great plans for dinner. And then, in-between meals I wouldn't eat for no good reason. If there wasn't a great meal planned, we all just had something small to tide us over until we could get a good dish of something.
So in-between walking and moving around looking at the locations, and making each meal important, I'd never gain much weight -- if any.
It's those vacations when I had no real plans for meals and just haphazardly ate were the vacations where I'd gain weight.
Strange, isn't it?
