The Best Homemade Ice Cream

The Best homemade ice cream I've had is in Columbus, Ohio. It is Handel's ice cream. The people there are very friendly and what amazed me is that during the winter in Columbus people want ice cream. They are open year round and they never skimp on the ice cream.

I would have to say the best homemade ice cream I have had is the stuff I have made myself using my ball ice cream maker. My favorite concoction was when I made vanilla soy milk ice cream and mixed in Nerds.

My husband makes the best home made ice cream using maple syrup, not fake but true-blue-real-to-the-core maple. We throw in strawberries, or anything else that sounds good.

It never lasts long, though.
