Meander is on a distinguished road
Default Caramelizing Sauce For Noodles - an all-purpose Asian inspired caramelizing sauce

3 teaspoons of sesame oil
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon of ground white pepper
4 oz of teriyaki sauce
1 oz water
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
3 or 4 large cloves of garlic, pureed in a food processor
2 tablespoons of fresh ginger root, peeled and pureed in a food processor

Mix all ingredients together in a microwave safe container and heat for about one minute on medium power. Stir well to dissolve all of the brown sugar. Cool and refrigerate in a convenient and resealable container. I use a ketchup dispenser bottle.

To use, simply add to your frying pan or wok with the item or items you wish to carmelize. Cooked, drained wheat noodles such as udon (elementary Japanese wheat noodles) noodles are great for this. This sauce is also excellent for stir fry.

I caramelize my noodles with this then toss in broccoli, edamame, spinach, and cooked chicken or beef. Then I top it off with black sesame seeds and chopped cilantro.

I have to say that this sounds really yummy, and it looks quite simple to make. I will give it a try and let you know what I think.

Thanks for posting it.
