Your comment made me curious about the locations of National Parks, so I just did some research and found this
map site from the University of Texas. I am including a screen capture from the map page showing the central United States region with the corresponding National Parks. There are actually quite a few in your region, but most of them are National Historic Sites and not really full fledged parks.
