We took this picture on a spring day in 2008. The scene portrays a large farm with several outbuildings, rolling hills and the colors of spring.
Holland Township is located at the northwestern corner of Hunterdon County NJ and is located next to Alexandria Township, Milford Borough, Bethlehem Township, Bloomsbury Borough, Warren Glen, Finesville, Hughesville, Warren County, Riegelsville, Pohatcong Township and the Delaware River. Holland is the home of the Volendam Windmill Museum, the Musconetcong Gorge Nature Preserve, Holland Township School, Oak Hill Golf Club, Riegel Ridge Community Center and Pool, Riegel Federal Credit Union, Sun Bank, Mezza Luna Pizza, The Holland Package Store, Holland Township Volunteer Fire Department, an independent small grocery store called Holland Market, Charley Brown’s Christmas tree farm, a gas station and a little roadside hamburger stand called Jimmy’s.
The major roads that pass through the township are: Route 519 or Milford Warren Glen Road, Route 614 or Spring Mills Road, Church Road, Route 627 or Riegelsville-Milford Road [along the stone cliffs, the narrows and the Delaware River], Adamic Hill Road, Mt. Joy Road, Hawks Schoolhouse Road and Bellis Road. The township is very close to Interstate 78, and can be accessed by getting off at the Phillipsburg Alpha Bloomsbury Exit, which is exit 3.
