Guide to the Best of Clinton NJ
The best that Clinton New Jersey has to offer is it's culture and beauty. Two historic and scenic mills have been transformed into museums that showcase the art, culture and history of the town and the entire region.
This tiny historic town with a population of about 2,600 people, is a regional hub for culture, shopping, dining, recreation and more.
The two museums were originally built as mills along the south branch of the Raritan River in the 1800's. The waterfall that runs between the two mills is 200 feet long.
Clinton New Jersey is one of the most beautiful spots in the entire Hunterdon County, NJ and Bucks County, PA area. It is not to be missed if you are coming for a weekend getaway from the hectic pace of New York City or even just passing through on the Interstate.
The photo to the left shows the Hunterdon Museum of Art that is located in a historic stone mill on the Raritan River.
Clinton has more hotel rooms than any other town in Hunterdon County and another hotel is being built as we speak.
The panoramic scene shown below, of the Red Mill Museum and the Hunterdon Museum of Art is located literally seconds away from Interstate 78. This location is one of the most photographed spots in the area if not the entire nation. The two museums, the waterfall, the river and the idyllic scene they create, represent the best of Clinton New Jersey.
