I never thought that I would have collards for breakfast but when I read the Flying Biscuit’s menu, I just had to give their Southern Scramble with collard greens a try: It is made with three scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, onions and wonderfully spicy collard greens. It was an incredilbe dish. It was the best breakfast that we had the entire time we were in Atlanta.
The Flying Biscuit is located in the trendy Piedmont Park section of midtown Atlanta. We got there mid morning, after breakfast and before lunch. The restaurant was jammed and only got busier while we ate. We can only imagine that on the weekends there must be quite a wait for a table for breakfast. The restaurant is popular with larger groups of friends and has a great frenetic energy.
The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and fast. The space here is wonderfully bright, making it the perfect place for breakfast or brunch on the weekends. If you are famished, we would recommend the Egg-stravaganza. It comes with two eggs, sausage, bacon and French toast with raspberry sauce and honey crème Anglais.
Overall we really liked the place and will go back whenever we go to Atlanta.
