The Frenchtown Business and Professional Association announces the following events for the summer of 2008.
Wine & Art Weekend, June 7 & 8, 2008
Starting the season will be the popular Spring WINE & ART WEEKEND on Saturday and Sunday June 7 & 8 during the hours of 1 and 5 pm each day. This delightful event will be held outdoors and within the wide array of specialty shops and galleries. Our visitors while enjoying a wonderful art display featuring local artists may sample wines and hors d’oeuvres from around the world. With every ticket purchased you will receive a “passport” to travel the world and get stamped for prizes donated by the local shops.
Bastille Day Fete, July 12 & 13, 2008
What could be more French than the French Independence Day or BASTILLE DAY? This festival enjoying its 10th year is among Frenchtown’s most cherished. The streets are busy with clowns, mimes, stilt-walkers, puppets, strolling musicians and special entertainment including an outdoors French-themed film. At this family oriented festival you will also find special fun activities within the various specialty shops, galleries and restaurants.
Riverfest, August 30 – September 1, 2008 (Labor Day Weekend)
Completing the summer will be our well-attended event: the fourth annual RIVERFEST celebrating life on the Delaware River. In past years our prescient theme of “green” has become a national anthem so this year we again set the pace by championing a new theme: BALANCE – health, emotional and spiritual well-being, life-long learning, play, volunteerism, financial security, conservation and preservation, generosity, travel and international good-will …. in short a well-lived life. There will be weekend long entertainment, information sharing, and product demonstrations.
