We stumbled upon the farmers market in Florida New York one Tuesday last fall on a short getaway to southern New York. This market made us wish we lived closer. It was full of every vegetable you could think of, at incredibly cheap prices. The region is known for its great farms and at markets like these; you can see the bounty of the harvest that comes from this gorgeous rich black dirt that characterizes the farms in this area and gives it its name.
If you are anywhere near Florida, New York on a Tuesday anytime between the middle of June to the first weekend in October, go see this farmers market; it is amazing! For 2008, that means that these dates will be market days in Florida, New York:
