Dilly's has been one of our favorite restaurants since the first time we passed it by on our way somewhere else. Once we tasted their food, we loved this place even more.
This place is an all American restaurant, the likes of which few exist anymore. It is a hot-dog stand. It has great style, a loyal following, and consistently good food.
If you are a food snob, a vegetarian, or a vegan, run as fast as you can, (away that is).

It seems that all of my favorite restaurants have been not been doing well recently and Dilly's unfortunately is part of that same trend. We took a friend there last week and I guess that were running short on French fries because the Dilly Dogs were all onions and green peppers with two or three fries thrown on to make things look better.
That wasn't the worst of it though. The buns on the hot dogs had been put on the grill and at some point were nice and toasty. At some point however, someone had reheated them [maybe in the microwave] and turned them into hard rubbery things that could not be cut or torn apart. This ruined the hot dog and my whole experience.
I hope that Dilly's hasn't gotten too successful. I want my old Dilly's back.
