Belford's resides in a historic building that the Belford family has owned for over 100 years. This famous building has an expansive rustic feel to it that makes dining here a unique experience in Savannah. Belford's is located in the heart of the bustling City Market area of town, close to the river, tour bus stops, shops and nightclubs.
In our time in Savannah, we chose to eat here several times because of the breakfast buffet, the marvelous light that the space has because of the huge oversized windows and it's central location to our daily walks about town. The service was always friendly. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable.
For breakfast they offer their buffet at a very reasonable $7.95, a blue crab frittata, quiche, omelets, eggs Benedict, pancakes and steak and eggs. For lunch their offerings include: appetizers like calamari and bruschetta, traditional salads, she crab soup, sandwiches like Angus cheeseburgers, a shrimp po-boy, a beer battered grouper sandwich and other entree items like crab cakes, pork chops and their award winning "Shrimp, Greens and Grits". For dinner you'll find other heartier entrees like: lemon pepper grouper, blackened salmon, a stuffed filet and a grilled 14 ounce porterhouse steak.
They are open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday for brunch from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
